HKTB COUNT DOWN 2017
Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) is a government-subvented body tasked to promote Hong Kong as a travel destination worldwide and to enhance visitor’s experience during their stay. Hong Kong New Year Countdown Celebration is the climax of Hong Kong WinterFest. 8-minutes fireworks display will be held at the Victoria Harbour every year to celebrate with the Hong Kong people.
WHAT WE DID
Event Management | VIP and Guest Management | Stage Management
We have been commissioned to be the event agency since 2015. One of the key event objectives is to celebrate the new year with the public, we have thus worked with HKTB hand in hand to extend the engagement from the stage to the street. The first-ever street party was held at the Ferry Pier, which attracted more than 30,000 passer-bys to join, while at the same time, we have engaged and mesmerised over 250,000 spectators at the Kowloon side of the Victoria Harbour. Apart from engaging and managing the public, we also helped to handle the meet and greet session of all VIP guests of the event, including the government official like CY Leung, former Chief Executive of Hong Kong, Paul Chan, Financial Secretary of Hong Kong, a number of LegCo members, etc. to join the crowd to celebrate the new year.
WHAT WE ACHIEVED
With the continuous and intensive promotion, the count down event held by HKTB has become one of the highlights, which attracted more and more people to join from one year to another by 25%.
